La-Z-Boy’s VPPA will support approximately 70,000 MWh of renewable energy per year, from AEP’s principally owned Santa Rita East wind energy center in Irion County, Texas, throughout the term of the agreement. He will serve on the Audit Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee. The appointment expands the Board to 10 members.
Hackett serves as a Special Advisor to Ford Motor Company and was President and Chief Executive Officer of the company from 2017 through 2020. Under his leadership, Ford moved aggressively into the new era of smart vehicles. At the same time, Hackett strengthened the company’s base business by restructuring operations and invigorating the product portfolio. Before serving as CEO, Hackett was Chairman of Ford Smart Mobility LLC, a subsidiary of Ford. He also served on Ford’s Board from 2013 through 2020.

La-Z-Boy is pleased to announce today that it has been awarded LEED Silver Certification for its new World Headquarters. The LEED rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the foremost program for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.
The 200,000-square-foot World Headquarters was completed in March 2015 in partnership with design/build contractor Rudolph/Libbe Inc. of the Rudolph Libbe Group. The building – which was built to the latest energy-efficient standards – features a three-story, glassed-in lobby with an oak savannah view and natural lighting. The building occupies about 40 acres of a total 120; the remaining 80 acres, which include an endangered oak savanna ecosystem, have been left untouched as a nature preserve.
