To improve the lives of others by developing a world-class program based on partnerships where employees feel a sense of connection and pride in their communities.
We are committed to enhancing the quality of life in the communities in which we live and serve through our leadership, financial contributions and volunteer efforts.
Following the example set by our founders, Mr. Knabusch and Mr. Shoemaker, La-Z-Boy is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the communities in which we live and serve through leadership, financial contributions and volunteer efforts. Our philanthropic initiatives include the La-Z-Boy Foundation, local community involvement, disaster relief, and Ronald McDonald House Charities, and in Fiscal Year 2024, La-Z-Boy Incorporated and the La-Z-Boy Foundation made a combined total of donations of more than $2.8 million.
Our employees exemplify this spirit of giving through leadership and volunteer efforts in their own communities, and for numerous non-profit organizations, which include the United Way, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity and others.
“The La-Z-Boy Summer of Caring” is a seasonal initiative that encourages and supports employee volunteerism during the summer. The program launched in 2018 and since then, our employees have accumulated over 45,000 hours of caring. In 2019, a sister program “The La-Z-Boy Season of Caring” was launched at the request of employees who wanted to continue that spirit of volunteerism during the holiday season. These programs correspond with the La-Z-Boy Corporate Mission Statement, including “compassion,” one of our company’s core values, and are a great addition to the overall corporate social responsibility initiatives of La-Z-Boy.
We know our founders would be proud of our efforts to give back to the communities around us.
Every year, La-Z-Boy Incorporated determines a notable charity to heavily support through financial contributions and fostering employee support, The FY 2024 organization was the American Heart Association. Employees across the world rallied around the American Heart Association by learning the importance of heart health, practicing CPR, participating in heat walks, and raising thousands of dollars. The La-Z-Boy Foundation also granted the organization $50,000.
We believe that it’s important to give back to our communities and we offer two different kinds of support.
Cash contributions to U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organizations

Our commitment to comfort runs deep. That’s why La-Z-Boy is the official furniture provider of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Over the past 16 years, we have donated more than 16,000 pieces of furniture to RMHC homes.
This helps give families a comfortable home away from home while their children receive much-needed medical care.
In 2013, La-Z-Boy received the RMHC Outstanding Stewardship Award, which recognizes corporations that have embraced the RMHC mission as their own and exceeded expectations in their support of the charity.
It is our privilege to support RMHC and offer comfort to those who need it most.
Over the past sixteen years, we have donated more than 16,000 pieces of furniture to local RMHC Chapters, helped furnish over 150 new and existing Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room programs across the U.S. and Canada, and extended the RMHC partnership to Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Our long-standing, multi-faceted partnership has provided more than $7 million in support to ensure RMHC can continue to provide compassionate care and essential resources to children and families being served by leading hospitals worldwide.
Thousands of volunteers have given back through time, talent and resources. This has included delivering and setting up furniture, attending and supporting local Chapter events, sending uplifting words of encouragement to families and staff, and participating in La-Z-Boy’s national volunteer initiatives: Summer of Caring and Season of Caring.
“On behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to La-Z-Boy Incorporated for its long-standing partnership that has helped our organization provide comfort, care and kindness to so many families for more than a decade.” – Katie Fitzgerald, Global President & CEO of RMHC
